01Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the provision of building and carpentry services provided by TJO Building and Carpentry LTD to the client. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this document.

02Scope of Work

We will provide carpentry and building services, landscaping, or home improvement works as agreed upon in the written quotation or contract. The scope of work will be clearly defined before starting any project, including materials, labour, and estimated timeframes.

03Quotation & Pricing

All quotations provided are estimates and subject to change based on actual conditions, materials, and unforeseen complexities. A detailed written quote will be provided for your approval before work starts, and a deposit may be required before work begins.

04Payment Terms

Payment for services rendered is due according to the agreed payment schedule. Final payment is due upon completion of the project unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may incur interest charges, and we reserve the right to halt work if payments are not received according to the agreed schedule.

05Changes to the Scope of Work

If you request additional work or modifications during the project, these will be agreed upon in writing, and a new quote or change order will be issued. Additional costs for changes will be invoiced separately.

06Project Delays

We will make reasonable efforts to complete work on time, but we are not responsible for delays due to factors beyond our control, such as adverse weather, material delays, or third-party supplier issues.

07Warranty

We offer a 12 month warranty on workmanship for carpentry and building services. The warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, natural disasters, or wear and tear.

08Health & Safety

We will adhere to local building codes and safety regulations during the course of the project. The client is responsible for ensuring a safe and accessible working environment.

09Client Responsibilities

You must provide access to the property, electrical supply, and any necessary permits if applicable. The site should be free from hazards and personal belongings should be removed from the work area.

10Permits & Licenses

If necessary, the client is responsible for obtaining and paying for any required permits, licenses, or approvals before work begins. We can assist with permit applications if agreed upon.

11Liability

Our liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from our work is limited to the total value of the contracted project, excluding indirect or consequential damages. We carry appropriate insurance for accidents or errors during the project.

12Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement by providing written notice if there is a significant breach of terms or an inability to perform the services. You will be liable for payment for completed work up to the date of termination.

13Dispute Resolution

Both parties agree to attempt to resolve any disagreements amicably before proceeding to formal dispute resolution.

14Governing Law

This agreement will be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.

15Force Majeure

Neither party will be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond their reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, or labour strikes.

16Confidentiality

Any personal or business information exchanged between the client and our company will be kept confidential and will not be shared with third parties without prior consent, except where required by law.
